Still Searching For Body Of Youth Drowned Sunday

James Rigby disappeared over the dam at Hill's Bathing Beach and 72 hours later no trace has been found. Divers and work crews used dynamite to probe the creek but made no discovery. Rigby’s father, C A Rigby, attended the searches and expressed hope the body may yet be found downstream or lodged in weeds.

Increased Guard After Lilly Klan Case Sentences

Ebensburg Pa July 2 state guards augmented after 18 Klansmen and 10 Lilly citizens were sentenced to two years each for affray and unlawful assembly in the Lilly riot. Judge Finletter called the verdict by a unanimous jury a reflection of Peers and noted deaths from the riot.

Carnegie Plant to Install Gas Fired Boiler System

Carnegie Steel's New Castle plant will begin a $1 012 000 expansion to install a central gas fired boiler system. The project will replace the 24 year old coal boiler, add a large boiler house, and capture furnace waste gases to power the plant. Glen Wilson Missing From Princeton Home

Glen Wilson of Ellwood City near Princeton has been missing from his rural home since 3 PM Monday. A 21 year old crippled man, 160 pounds with red complexion and black hair, was last seen going toward a corn field with a hoe used as a crutch. his father is James Wilson and authorities fear he may be harmed.

Runaway Horse Captured by Officer Wysner

The horse of Mike Dudek, Pulas ki, became frightened on East Washington street near the Robinson restaurant and bolted eastward. Officer James Wysner captured it at County Line street with no damage reported.

Lehigh Portland Cement Records High Safety Month

Lehigh Portland Cement Company reports a record June with 1.5 million man hours and only one lost time accident. Sixteen plants achieved 100 percent safety, led by New Castle units under safety chiefs W. H. Kleckner and N. S. Schmidt. D. E. Ritter praised the effort and Major H. A. Bond Papers Sent To Philadelphia Bidder For City Issue

The city council approved a new 60000 bond issue. James A. Gardner mailed the papers to Biddle and Henry of Philadelphia for approval. Upon their assent the bonds will be issued and funds allocated to paving and street repairs and the Gardner avenue viaduct project.

Tuesday morning turnout set a record with an overall 95 percent attendance at Benjamin Franklin Junior High summer program. Lower six grades reported 100 percent in ten of fifteen rooms while upper grades averaged 93 percent.

Police raided the home of Mr and Mrs George Gudyk at 1308 South Jefferson Street. The husband faced a charge of keeping a disorderly house and paid a $100 fine while Mrs Gudyk was charged with interfering with officers and fined $25.
