Two charged in Amish boy hit and run death
Two men were bound over to the grand jury for their alleged role in the October 31 hit and run death of six year old Samuel Byler in Wilmington. The boy, son of Emanuel and Mrs Byler of New Wilmington RD 2, was struck by a green van as he walked with Amish students on Old Mercer Road.

Price control plans for gas would lift costs to 12 cents
The Energy Department says either decontrol plan could raise pump prices by more than 12 cents a gallon, with the final environmental impact statement warning that without decontrol shortages could occur after 1980. It estimates increases up to 9 cents with current controls, 12.4 cents with a tilt, and 12.8 cents under full deregulation.

Ethics rule delay in PA school director disclosures
Commonwealth Court Judge Roy Wilkinson Jr granted a preliminary injunction delaying Pennsylvania ethics disclosures for school board candidates. County election boards must accept nominating petitions without proof of filed disclosures.
