Remains Of Airmen Returned From Berlin
Berlin reports a military convoy brought back the bodies of three U S Air Force officers killed when a training plane was shot down near the West German East German border. The convoy also carried wreckage of the T39 jet trainer with no ceremony as bodies entered Western territory. A State Department charge accuses the Soviet Union of shooting it down.

Ranger-6 Moonward Maneuver Aims For Close Moon Photos
Ranger-6 executed a mid course maneuver at Goldstone California to improve the chance of reaching the moon. JPL director Dr. William Pickering said hours of tracking would determine the results. If successful, Ranger 6 would crash into the moon early Sunday and capture up to 3000 close up photos aiding the future manned lunar landing.
