In Tokio on January 31 the Japanese diet was dissolved by imperial decree after a stormy session. Premier Kiyoura hurled a glass flask, prompting 5,000 police to reinforce guards as ministers fled. An agitator was arrested on the floor and others scattered as agitation continued in the streets.
An official probe by the state public service commission and Venango county coroner is under way after a wreck on the Allegheny or Express near Franklin Pennsylvania. Excessive speed on a curve, not defective equipment, is cited as the cause. Three people were killed and nearly fifty injured, some seriously, as five coaches and the engine derailed. Names of crewmembers and injured are listed. An inquest is planned for tomorrow.
President Coolidge will not accept resignations from Secretary of the Navy Edwin Denby or Attorney General Harry M. Daugherty despite their offers to quit. The move comes as attacks and accusations swirl around the naval oil reserve leasing affair and the president faces pressure from critics.
Esther Everett Lape, general manager of the Bok Peace Plan award, faces a Senate investigating committee ruling that it can compel testimony. After her refusal prompted a brief halt, the panel voted 4 to 1 to enforce questioning on publicity and strategy to push the plan through the Senate. Lape is set to testify again next Monday.

County Detective J M Dunlap and police from New Castle and Bessemer raided fifteen sites on January 30 seizing a large quantity of liquor. Seventeen people, fifteen men and two women, were jailed or held for the March term. Stores belonging to Sam Wolfe John Klavesic and Mike Barch were raided. others were private residences. Suspects were taken to Justice Cheney for hearings.
Columbus G. Wayland, former Knoxville city commissioner of finance, committed suicide by hanging this morning. He had served on the old city commission, was defeated in the last election, and lawsuits over alleged misspent funds were pending in court.
It was learned today that the city council will request plans for constructing an addition to the municipal hospital. The present facility has six beds, and officials believe the hospital should be expanded to twice its current size.

In Camden New Jersey on January 31 Roscoe Ward county prosecutor said he would present charges against Dickson for the murder of Emma Dickson 15 whose body was found after September 13. Ward vowed to have Dickson tried and convicted within three weeks while the arraignment and grand jury process proceed. Dickson silent in cell as detective Frank J. Love asserts the state has all necessary evidence including an eye witness to the killing.

The mangled body of 52 year old John Yaskolka was found by workers along the Baltimore and Ohio line near Chewton. He lived in Wayne township with his wife and six children and was employed at a New Castle tin mill. Police and coroner investigated the death, believed to be from being struck or thrown from a passing train.
Washington January 51 Woodrow Wilson has been somewhat indisposed for two days but not seriously. He attended to morning mail and did not interrupt routine. The illness is described as a stomach disorder. Dr Ruffin says it is not related to prior ailments. Dr Grayson is away in North Carolina on a hunting trip.
Pittsburgh news confirms James Hulings, a Pittsburgh engineer killed in the Buffalo Pittsburgh Express wreck at St George, planned retirement with a June pension. He had bought a 1 acre farm and was building a home nearby. Fireman W R Jenkins, also killed, had been furloughed two months and had returned to duty yesterday.
Pittsburgh and Butler area records show several marriage licenses issued. Samuel Kaufman and Fannie Zinman sraddock Walker registered in Pittsburgh, along with Fannie Bell and Albert Khdmiston in Pittsburgh and Butler respectively. Elizabeth Neill and RP EI Tehalae the Si mk Sharon Sara Morgan appear in the set.
Miss Anna Wadlinger of New Castle assisted Franklin and Oil City doctors at the Buffalo Pittsburgh express derailment near Franklin Pennsylvania. Though uninjured herself she aided the injured and administered first aid as the accident disrupted rail service with more than fifty people hurt.
Twenty five salesmen from Cincinnati Ohio will visit Shenango Pottery Company in this city. They will tour the plant see ware being made and view other features of the business. At six o clock they will attend a banquet at the New Castle Field Club.
Charles N. Cooper employed at the Radiator works was taken to Shenango Valley hospital Wednesday afternoon suffering from severe abdominal injuries sustained at the works. Cooper was saw ing when a board struck him. his condition is not believed serious.
Bertha Cernyar, 17, daughter of Mrs. Elizabeth Cernyar, who disappeared from Bessemer last September, was found in Central Park and taken to Central Islip State Hospital, with authorities deciding to place her case with Bessemer officials and appoint a sanity inquiry if needed.
Gov. Pinchot cancels his speaking engagement at the Pennsylvania Society dinner in Washington due to a slight ear ailment. He has been confined to the executive mansion for three days. His secretary said physicians advised him to stay indoors to avoid complications.
John Staley of 407 West Washington street reported a crash last evening at about 6 15 p m. A fast moving car with Pennsylvania license 783 690 came from Atlantic avenue and struck his car parked in front of his home. The impact caused considerable damage.
Mrs M J Thorpe aged 90 of Erie Pennsylvania is reported dead. John Yaskolka aged 52 of Wayne Township is also deceased.

Lawrence County Engineer C H Mitholand with a public service commission engineer visited Chewton Crossing to inspect the RB and grade crossing slated for abolition by petitioners. A hearing is scheduled in Pittsburgh on February 14.
