Germans angered at requisition of food as French and Belgians tighten control. In Essen and surrounding cities troops move, railways seized for military use, and guards patrol key HQs. Rioting reported but police kept clashes from turning deadly.
Harrisburg report lists 69 special fishing permits issued in Lawrence county and 167 in Mercer county during last year. Lawrence county yielded 199 pounds of fish worth about 40 dollars with devices including gig spear line net dip net loop snare burr hook and more.
