Improved stretcher expected to meet big demand
W M Britton of Butler County and Heb Detagon claim to have perfected an improved stretcher for wounded persons after a year of testing. They received four US patents and seek foreign patents. The design adds side wings for chest clearance, folds into a box form for raising and lowering patients, and folds compactly for through openings. It will be manufactured by Grave City Machine Supply Co and distributed locally.

The funeral of Jie Martha Elizabeth Ziwnlernith infant daughter of Mr and Mrs Davldl Zimmerman was held Wednesday at 4:30 PM at United Presbyterian church New Bedford with Rev French and Rev RL J Lanning officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Isaac Shonff of Lawrence county longtime resident near New Castle died Friday morning at New Castle hospital at age age. He and wife Martha Ritcheau observed their golden wedding January 1. He served in the Civil War and spent his life in the area, leaving a wife and six children and several brothers. The remains were moved to the Forest Undertaking rooms for burial arrangements to be announced.
