Mary Francis Creighton and Everett C. Applegate were sentenced to death by electric chair for the arsenic murder of Ada Applegate last September. A 12 man jury found them guilty of first degree murder after seven hours of deliberation, with Creighton breaking down after admitting she fed arsenic to Ada in eggnog. Applegate remained stoic as the verdict was read.
