Fire caused by faulty wiring stalls call during garage blaze

In Neshannock Township yesterday the 2:25 p.m. garage fire at Mrs. Ralph White’s home on Old Plank Road was blamed on bad wiring in a car owned by Mr. and Mrs. James Beam. The two party line delayed the fire call for 10 to 15 minutes, risking total loss to the house and car, which was destroyed along with $2,500 in garage damage. Police Chief James Reed said charges could follow if proven the other line blocked the call.

Woman sues accusers over bank theft charge in Lancaster
