Hostage girl freed after escape in South Bend store robbery

Six Children Die In Reading Fire In Three Homes
Six children were killed and three others critically injured in an early morning blaze that consumed three row houses in Reading Pennsylvania. The dead were not named. Patricia Millisock 18, David Millisock 12, and Sara Millisock 15 were in critical condition at Community General Hospital. Fire Chief Russell Mogel called the blaze suspicious and said it began at the rear of the Millisock residence. Firefighters also extinguished a fire in a duck parked nearby.

Four men shot to death at rural Georgia grocery
Four men were lined up and shot to death with a high powered rifle at Mansfield Grocery in Bluffton Georgia. A bloodied suspect was arrested nearby. An operator described a horrendous shooting and GBI agent Buck Bentley said there were leads and one firm suspect. The victims were employees of the store recently under new management after years as a family owned Mansfield Grocery.

Fire chief says house fires set by arsonist
Two vacant houses on Carl Street were damaged by fire early this morning. Assistant Fire Chief Frank Piatek said the blazes at 411 and 413 Carl Street were arson incidents with separate origins. Fire crews arrived at 1:57 a.m. and contained a kitchen fire at 411 before continuing to 413, where a two story frame house was a total loss.
