Robbery at Rick Motor Car Company Causes $9600 Loss
Robbers pried open the Florence Avenue entrance to the J. R. Rick Motor Car Company on East Washington Street and stole $3360 in cash plus $6250 in securities and checks, partly insured. The theft was discovered by Carl Anderson of Detroit and investigated by Police Chief Robert D. Hanna and detectives, with loss estimated by Elmer Reiber.

Earl B. Raymer, 64, of 311 Fifth street Beaver Falls, died at 2:55 p m in Jameson Memorial hospital after a cerebral hemorrhage at Chambers Motor company earlier that day. He collapsed at Chambers garage about 11 a m and was taken to the hospital in unconscious condition, expiring four hours later.

City Plans For Police School
Mayor John F Haven said he advised Police Chief Hanna to prepare for a police school run by Harold Pierce of the Pennsylvania public instruction department and an ex sergeant of state police, once the Civil Service commission submits a list of eligible candidates. Thirty nine candidates took the test and those passing a mental exam were told to report to the commission for a physical. Some did, others have until Saturday. A question on ex serviceman eligibility focuses on physical standards including age height and weight. Civil Service secretary Ralph A Cooper asked the city solicitor Robert M White for an opinion as to the issue. About a dozen men are serving temporarily and most were among those examined, but no list can be presented until all exam and legal questions are resolved.

Donato Pozzuto Dies After Illness in Ellwood City
Donato Pozzuto aged 57 of Wampum died at 2 10 after a Wednesday illness while being moved to Ellwood City hospital. He worked for the P and L E railroad and served with Italy in World War I as a prisoner for 18 months. Survivors include brothers Michael and Nick Pozzuto and sister Angeline Martecci.
