Black Godfather sentenced for large drug ring in New York
Frank Moten of Englewood New Jersey, linked to the Council of Twelve, received a 25 year term after a three month trial for distributing about half a ton of cocaine and heroin across New York New Jersey Washington Chicago and Miami. The ring operated from 1968 to 1974, moving an estimated 150 pounds of dovainie and 26 pounds of heroin annually with a street value of FM million. Eugene Solomon, 22 of Pittsburgh, was held for court on a murder charge in the shooting of grocery store owner Gabriel DeLucia and wounding two employees after a hearing with Coroner's Solicitor Stanley M. Stein. Solomon allegedly planned the hold up due to the store's good business.
