Widely Known Gambler Found Slain in Philadelphia Car
Emanuel Gottobrio the South Jersey gambler was found dead in a parked two tone 1955 sedan in south Philadelphia. Police said he had a prior criminal record dating to 1928 and he was found slumped over the steering wheel with a bullet wound in the back of his head. The car lights were on and the motor idling as a pedestrian called authorities. Gottobrio had been linked to the Maple Shade gambling casino shut by police in 1949.
