Arthur McCleary of Roscoe Fayette County pled guilty before Federal Judge F. P. Schoonmaker and was sentenced to 25 years in a penitentiary for robbing the Roscoe post office and attempting to rob the Hazzard post office. He received concurrent terms of 10 and 5 years. He robbed Roscoe on about November 7 and escaped with money and a revolver and attacked Postmaster Arthur Chattoway on November 9 during the attempted Hazzard robbery.
