Ellwood native to be installed as state's first woman chief justice
Ellwood City native Debra McCloskey Todd will be sworn in as Pennsylvania's first woman chief justice at a 3 p.m. ceremony Friday in the Omni William Penn Hotel Pittsburgh. Reservations sold out. Todd, Lincoln High School graduate, became chief justice on October 1 after the death of Chief Justice David Max Baer. She holds degrees from Chatham, Pittsburgh, and Virginia, and has served as judge on the Superior Court and Supreme Court since 1999, 2007 respectively.
