Harrisburg Jan 17 Army officials say Company B of the 123rd Mounted Engineers in New Castle Pa will return to cavalry within two weeks as part of a War Department reorganization. The move would create two Pennsylvania cavalry regiments with engineers converted to line troops. The New Castle troop will receive horses soon after the plan is enacted to ensure proper unit function.
Fire gutted Cyclorama hall and three adjoining structures in downtown Pittsburgh, causing an estimated 200000 in damages. Firemen fought the blaze from three alarms into morning. injuries reported to a patrolman struck by a taxi. The hall housed the Ice Co and faced a long history as a museum and stockholder venture.
