Adolph Hotelling a church elder and self confessed murderer of five year old Dorothy Schnei der spoke of fighting conviction as he awaited his attorney. Hotelling was brought from Flint to Ionia prison to escape mob vengeance and will pursue appeal.
Salvatore Salci, 47, shot and killed his wife Tessie in their Corona home early today then killed himself after wounding his three stepchildren Antoinette Vennetitoo 12 Edna 13 and Salvatore 5. Neighbors said the couple had quarreled before the shooting.
Herbert S. Christman of New Castle with his wife and two children were treated for facial cuts after a stone from a car on the Pittsburgh Pike shattered their windshield. The incident occurred near Washington Pennsylvania.

Mrs Nellie M Ally Dean widow of J J Dean longtime New Castle resident dies at 1 30 am at 326 East Lincoln after a four week illness pneumonia followed Christmas. She was born in Bellville Ohio and active in First Christian church and local clubs. Survived by sister Mrs L B Dodson Indianapolis and brothers Harry and John Ally Mansfield. Funeral arrangements to be announced.
Bristol, Conn. Jan 17. The search for Frances St John Smith shifted to Bristol after attorney George Ward said he saw a well dressed young woman resembling the missing Smith College freshman along Deerfield road Sunday. Clerks and a Hartford drugstore woman also saw a girl matching her description. Detectives began a thorough Bristol district search.
Harry Gee of Wheeling West Virginia and Dr Joseph Meagher also of Wheeling were released on bond after being charged with violating national prohibition laws. Authorities said five barrels of whiskey and wine were seized as a truck loaded from a railroad car. Meagher allegedly arranged shipment from Newark New Jersey as a syrup consignment to two companies.
Fire department responded to an alarm at box 45 near Washington and Allen streets at about 1 10 this morning. No fire was found in the district.
