Jameson Memorial Hospital lists visiting hours for Median Surgical and Maternity with limited private times and special rules. St Francis Wolfstat sets semi private, wards and maternity visiting slots and restricts children under 14. Both hospitals participate in United Fund campaigns.
A hospital roster lists admitted and discharged patients with partial and garbled addresses and names. Notable entries include Mrs. Margaret M. White, John J. Rasan, Mrs. Sally Watking, Doreena Mahone, Mre Della M. Kelly, and many others across multiple streets. A January 14 note records a Frances Wespital and a Mr. and Mrs. Paul Klabon of Edgewood Court.
Harrisburg dispatch reports three Republican ex-legislators named as 8,580 four year regional coordinators in the states anti poverty program under Gov. Scranton. Cecil K. Lehorknight of Bala and Austin M. Morrier of TaContes join John Barber of Erie in the new administration, covering regions from Adams to Northampton, and from Clearfield to Bedford respectively. Four more coordinators await naming. Scranton also okayed two poverty projects in Pittsburgh connected to human resources and the diocese school board, including an 18 VISTA cohort to aid disadvantaged youth and a $207,000 grant for services and activities in needy areas.
A children's rally led by Til Webb Fuoron Sabcock Evangelistic Lear will take place at Calvary Independent Church at 10 am tomorrow. The youths will demonstrate Gospel magic. A service is scheduled in the church at 7:10 pm today with the final meeting of the series at 7:50 pm on Sunday.
Twenty nine participants attended the first lip-reading class for the hard of hearing by the New Castle Quota Club. The 12 week course meets Wednesdays 7 20 to 8 30 pm at Salvation Army headquarters with Ray Seitz city schools speech instructor. A $3 donation is charged for the course to establish a permanent program in the county.

Shenango Township supervisors voted 2-1 to pay tax collector Helen M. Frisbee $1,000 annually for two years starting 1966, replacing the 3% commission. Kendall opposed saying the salary was too low given work. Smith and Tanner argued higher pay would attract candidates, noting Frisbee’s past earnings.
Property tax income declined by $9,278 with 1964 collections at 93.5 percent of the school levy and 94.44 percent of 1964 totals.
