Chairman Worrell Jones led the session. Mayor John F Haven is honorary chairman and Richard E Rentz serves as vice chairman. Plans call for vigorous execution with comments favorable for the project. Three Die In Head On Train Crash Near Little Rock
At Pulaski nine miles west of Little Rock a westbound Rock Island passenger train collided head on with a freight train. Three people died two crewmen were injured and the passenger train engineer was among the dead. The Californian had departed Memphis bound for Los Angeles.
