Kerr Mill blaze in Fall River leaves hundreds jobless
Nearly 800 people lost work as a six story Kerr Mill complex in Fall River Massachusetts was destroyed by a blaze that began around 7 a.m. Firefighters from more than 200 men and 28 trucks fought the flames for almost five hours. Laurel School District plans to request 100000 in federal reimbursements via the state Department of Education to finance accessibility upgrades for disabled students at Laurel High and Laurel Elementary.
