Pomona Grange Holds Annual County Meeting
Pomona Grange No 65 met at Big Beaver Grange Hall on January 9 with two sessions. Worthy Master W S Fullerton presided. Charles Robinson was installed on the executive committee. Willard Grange presented a program and the Wilmington Grange received the altar from Pomona. Hon Reuben A Nagle spoke. over 200 grangers attended. next meeting February 6 at Willard Grange hall.

East Brook Junior Garden Club meets for soap carving
The East Brook Junior Garden Club gathered at Virginia Fink’s home on Saturday January 5 for an afternoon of soap carving and refreshments provided by Mrs. O R B Fink. The group planned to meet next at Karl Kennedy’s home. A surprise party honored Mr Keley Cameron with dancing, cards, and a late lunch hosted by Mr Cameron and Mrs Collins.

In Malta Montana a lightning bolt struck a covered sheep wagon where F 4 Barrow and Bert Jarvis sat. The ring on Barrow's watch burned away and the crystal melted. The bolt also knocked off Jarvis's shoe heel. Both men felt dizzy but escaped injury.
