Texas Slayer Is Put To Death In Electric Chair
Floyd Newton Brynes, 24, died in the electric chair at the Texas state penitentiary in Huntsville for the murder of 12 year old Myma Juergens in San Angelo. He confessed to killing the girl’s mother and her grandmother Rose Schirra. He kissed a crucifix and spoke softly as his last words were to tell his mother his final thought was of her.

Stark County grand jury expected to return a true bill charging Ed ward Kaltenbaugh of Grove City Pa with first degree murder in the deaths of John and Bertha Oser of Canal Fulton Ohio. Prosecutor Harter seeks the death penalty and Kaltenbaugh may have no counsel yet. Kaltenbaugh altered his account, saying he fired through a bedroom window and again as she exited the room, then dragged the body behind a barn. He had worked on the Oser farm five days before the crime.
