A head-on crash on the Perry Highway six miles north of Mercer killed two truck drivers within hours. H. F. Lowdermilk of Hadley Pennsylvania died at Mercer Cottage Hospital after his lime truck collided with Robert K. Paul of Paterson New Jersey whose vehicle, carrying new automobiles, was northbound.
