Gay faces new charges in Lorain drug case
John A. Gay, 53, of Lorain, released from federal prison hospital in 1967 after Johnson commuted his 10 year drug trafficking sentence, was arrested with another man for possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia. Gay previously served three years of the sentence. no parole.

Funeral costs outraged in Hyden coal deaths
In Hyden Kentucky state and county officials criticized funeral expenses for 48 miners killed at Finley Coal Co. after the December 30 explosion. Twin Falls couple mourns deaths of quadruplet daughters
In Jerome Idaho two of four newborn daughters died late Friday after birth and the remaining two were flown to Salt Lake City for treatment at the University of Utah Medical Center. Hospital officials said the infants, weighing 2 pounds 61 ounces, 2 pounds 1 ounce, 2 pounds 6 ounces and 2 pounds 4 ounce, arrived within 21 minutes and were reported doing fine before complications arose.
