The plaintiff in the Ida B. Dodson et al v Miss Jane Ligo case appeals to the supreme court over Nellie Dean's will. The suit, tried twice before Judge Chambers, questioned the will mainly benefiting Ligo nurse and companion to Mrs Dean, with heirs winning first verdict and Ligo winning second. The appeal concerns denial of a third trial by the local court.
Mrs Maria Theresa Russ filed for probate and disposed of a $4000 estate. The will states I give five dollars to my grandson Paul Russ because of the tears he has caused me and the inhumane treatment he has shown. The probate filing was made in Pittsburgh.

Camden officials announce the public will be barred from the Gladys May Parks Baker murder trial of Dorothy and Timothy Rogers in Camden New Jersey. Administration officials called the victory trivial and warned the senate still controls legislation.
Fairbanks Alaska January 9 With weather improving officials hoped to start an aerial search for Capt Pat Reid and two mechanics William Hughes and James Hutchinson who disappeared after taking off from Fairbanks toward Nome to pursue Carl Ben Eielson and Earl Borland missing since November 9 A dog team hunt from Unalakleet along the Unaglik and Unegatalik rivers was also begun as ground forces waited for better flying conditions.
Mrs. Emma Moncrief aged 82 is reported dead at her residence on 822 Carson Street. The obituary notes her long life and local ties, with no further details released.
