County Officials Take Oaths of Office in Lawrence County
Lawrence County officials were sworn in Monday in Judge Dominick Mottos court with five elected officials taking oaths. District Judge Jennifer L. Nicholson, Sheriff Perry Quahliero, Joshua Lamancusa, new Controller David J. Prestopine, and new Register of Wills and Recorder Tammy Crawford were seated. Prothonotary Jodi Klabon Esoldo administered the oaths as Motto praised mentors and a smooth transition. Crawford succeeds Janet L Kalajainen. Prestopine had been acting controller and was elected to the permanent post in November.

Wolf enters final budget season amid big surplus and surging revenue
Governor Tom Wolf faces an eight and final budget proposal as Pennsylvania holds a robust reserve and growing surplus. Szklinski Named South New Castle Borough President
Greg Szklinski was appointed president at Monday's reorganizational meeting of the South New Castle Borough Council. The three member panel ends former president John Wilmes's term as he did not seek reelection.
