County Directors Hear Of Progress In Scheel Work
County Directors convened at the courthouse for the twenty fourth annual session as County Superintendent Oswell John C. Syring reported three new school buildings costing 245 60 thousand dollars, two in progress at Ewing Park and East Brook and a third soon to be plastered. East Brook wing Park 8 room unit cost 45009, Shenango township 5 rooms plus gym and auditorium cost 65000, Shenango high school established in township and housed in East New Castle mission church until completion. Superintendent urged careful teacher selection and early preparation of buildings, noted delays in some districts, discussed books and apparatus, and endorsed centralized schools as cost effective.
