A pickup driven by Anthony Zlatovich overturned on South Liberty Street while slowing. Zlatovich was discharged.

City Officials Sworn In as Budget Is Delayed

Six Die in Plane Crashes Amid Midwest Fog
Thick Midwest fog blamed for six deaths in private plane crashes. The Paul E Ward family of Hinsdale Illinois perished near Bloomington Newfoundland Lake while returning from St Louis, a Cessna fatal crash in a plowed field. In Buffalo Minnesota two men died when their ski plane crashed in fog after extended taxi. One more mishap occurred in Wyoming with two airmen surviving.
