Penitentiary sentences for forged checks and robbery
Harry Ford alias Jose Walker received three to four years in the Western Penitentiary after pleading guilty to forging checks on Samuel C. Moore. Edward Floyd pleaded guilty to robbing a grocery on West Washington Street and faces imprisonment. Floyd reportedly served prior time for a similar offense. The cases, prepared by District Attorney Clyde V. Ailey, detail checks ranging from ten to twenty four dollars and the suspects’ attempts to pass them in Youngstown and at a saloon.
