Post master General J Edward Day announced expansion of accelerated business collection and delivery ABCI3 to 14 more cities by year end. The service delivers letters in downtown business districts by 3 pm for items mailed before 11 am, now operating in 60 cities including Washington Baltimore Philadelphia and New York area offices. The plan adds several states with multiple post offices to adopt the program through next year.

John Vellone Dies After Short Illness
John Vellone aged 72 of 11S Lagook it died yesterday at 4:40 p.m. after a short illness. Born in Naples Italy June 24 1891 he was married to Pauline Domenick for 16 years. He was a retired Pennsylvania Railroad car repairman with 40 years service. He was a member of St Lucy Church and the Christopher Columbus Society. Surviving are his wife four children Andrew Vellone Tulsa Vellone Edward Vellone and Mrs Alphonse Wusso plus stepchildren Michael Tasella and Norma Rosta two sisters in Italy and 14 grandchildren. A brother Andrew Vellone died last year. Friends may call after 7:00 a.m. today at William F DeCarbo Funeral Home. Services will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. at St Lucy Church with Rev Vinconterence officiating. Interment in St Lucy Cemetery.
