An unidentified man about 65 was killed when struck on the New Wilmington road at Walmo by a car driven by Joseph W. Hirsch of Carnegie Pennsylvania. Hirsch said he was blinded by an oncoming light and swerved to miss the pedestrian but struck him with the door handle. The body was hurled to a culvert. eyewitness Charles Gibson of R. F. D. No. 3 corroborated the account. The injured man was taken to Jamestown Memorial Hospital.
