A 26 year old Ashtabula man, Markijohn Marks john, was arraigned on criminal homicide and robbery charges for the December 28 shooting death of Joseph Charles Pagley III in Neshannock Township. A bridge worker found Pagley’s cell phone, enabling police to advance the investigation. Police later tied the case to a marijuana operation, with evidence including a gun’s origin, a rubber band on Pagley’s fingers, a zip bag, a checked $8200 signed by Marks john, and a nearby open safe with shell casings.
