False Pretense Charged Against Petersburg Man

McAllen Injured Falling Before Washington Street Store
John P. McAllen of Tubetown in the Seventh ward was seriously injured Saturday afternoon when he fell backward in front of L Rohrer’s store on Washington street striking his head on a step. He was found unconscious and taken to the nearby lockup where a drunkenness charge was noted. City Physician Perry examined him and a skull fracture was not yet confirmed.

Razor to stand trial for young woman’s murder in Ohio

Woman Killed by Automobile in Central Park Area
New York police flood Central Park vicinity with house to house canvass seeking witnesses to the fatal run down of Mrs. Edwin S. McCook. The chauffeur’s initial address proved fictitious and investigators seek location of the accident and liable party. Walter Schumann later surrendered claiming he drove the car that struck and killed Mrs. McCook.

Fire destroys Keast barn in Pulaski township
A fire at the Fred Keast barn in Pulaski township killed twenty seven cattle seven horses and about six pigs. The blaze, suspected incendiary, occurred early Saturday as James Pringle occupied the farm and Mr Keast owned the stock and implements. Loss estimated around 6100 with no animals saved. Horrible Deed in New York Husband Attacks Wife with Acid
Caspar Zsittnik a former Austrian officer attacked his wife with sulphuric acid while she slept after she threatened to have him jailed in an asylum. The woman's injuries are serious and may be fatal. Their eight year old daughter was burned trying to aid her mother. Zsittnik, a wandering gypsy, has prior asylum confinement.
