Officials seize former auditor's records in probe
Lawrence County District Attorney freezes bank assets of former Shenango Township auditor and adviser Dene DeLorenzo. Four search warrants were executed on his accounts at Huntington Bank First Commonwealth Bank PNC Bank and First Merit Bank as part of a probe into alleged dealings with former Shenango Township secretary treasurer Brian Tanner. Tanner faces more than 500 charges including theft and forgery tied to over $1 million in questionable expenditures during his tenure. Woman Hurt in North Hill Fire in Pittsburgh
A local woman Sylvea Petro aged 40 from 310 East Winter Avenue is in critical condition after a fire at her home. She was airlifted to Mercy Hospital after being rescued from the upstairs bedroom with emergency crews responding. Firefighter Shawn Johnson of New Castle was treated for smoke inhalation after aiding during the perilous rescue with assistance from Assistant Chief Tom Bulisco.
