Fire damages Mahoning Township home on Coffee Run Road
A fire caused about 35000 in damage to a newly built Mahoning Township residence owned by Mr and Mrs William Dittmer on Coffee Run Road last night. Flames started by an overheated coal furnace spread to the attic, with firefighters from ee Pulaski and Uniontownships arriving after a passerby reported the blaze at about 7 pm. The attic fire burned through the floor prompting a ceiling tear down on the first floor. The furnace flue, built too close to a wall, overheated and ignited the attic floor. The Dit tmer family had moved in July, house built in April.
