Dynamite Cap Accident Injures Wampum Boy
Ira McAnlis, son of meatman Robert McAnlis of Wampum, was injured when a dynamite cap exploded near a stove in the family meat shop. He lost several fingers and was taken home unconscious. This follows a prior similar accident in town and warns of the danger of such signals and devices.

Runaway Horse Dashes Through Pittsburg Street Collision
A horse tied to a sleigh owned by George W. Boyles ran away on Saturday afternoon down Pittsburg street. Mrs. Lafayette Baldwin driving a cutter was knocked to the snow near the Union depot. Both sleighs were badly damaged but Baldwin escaped serious injury after receiving help at Judge Hazen’s office.

Martha Livingstone of the Fourth ward was brought from Buneavista via Pittsburg by Officer J A Andrews and presented before Alder man J P Leslie on Tuesday to answer a charge of skipping out in November. She had been released on her own recognizance on a charge of disorderly conduct by Mrs Ida Loure. She received 30 days in jail with fines and costs totaling 37 dollars fifty cents.
