Cleveland February 1 two men and a woman suspected of bank hold ups were captured after eight police squads raided a Little Hollywood apartment. In Saltsville Virginia a two year old Bertha Mee Allister died after a 21 hour illness as a mysterious disease claimed another Rector family victim in Clinchburg. Doctors said a rare pneumonia with blood poisoning may be the cause and noted no contact between the McAllisters and Rectors.
Arno Sylvala, a volunteer diver, to be honored by Ontario Paper company for his three rescue attempts after Peter Trans, a deep sea diver and Ontario Paper employee, drowned after 69 hours submerged in the Ontardo river. The coroner ruled accidental death. Trans will be buried tomorrow, compensation to be decided by the Quebec board for the widow Mrs Trans.
Chicago police collar two burglars Edward Gary aged 26 and Peter Rossa aged 30 after a restaurant break in they fled to a vacant store and hid in an ice box until detectives captured them.
Two men die aged 68 in separate notices. Samuel J. Frost is listed from Braddock Pu and Samuel W. Kroesen from Los Angeles California. Death details are provided in the notice.
Alderman Marshall presides as Trene Schroeder and W Glenn Dague are held without bail for the March grand jury on charges including murder of Corporal Brady Paul on December 27. Additional counts of manslaughter felonious assault and robbery alleged. crowd blocks Public Square as testimony unfolds.
