An exhibition followed with Frank Trealby, Fred Tellow, and Chauncey Yoho providing bouts while music by the New Castle Banjo Club and Silver Bell Quartette played on.

Jesse Davis, employed at the tin plate mill, slipped on wet sheathing while carrying a load on the roof Tuesday afternoon. He fell about twenty feet, landing on his back alongside the eaves, then to the ground. Fellow workers rushed to aid him. he was initially thought dead but revived. He was taken home and Dr. Cooper summoned. serious internal injuries and bruises reported, but recovery expected.
