Man Found Dead On Road In Grove City
The body of Frank Phillips of 35 Bleakley Avenue Oak Hill Franklin lay in a Grove City funeral parlor after a hit run on the Wesley Barkeyville highway Thursday. A Pittsburgh driver J R Gibson with two hitchhikers stopped and reported the body. Coroner Applegate ruled death from a fractured skull and investigation moved to Venango authorities. Partial ID came by a hospital call from Oil City. The man, 35 to 40, was heavyset with dark hair, a chest scar from burns, tattoo marks on the right arm, and the missing third finger on the left hand.
