Tragic Christmas Eve Fire Claims Nine-Year-Old Marie Barnett
Nine-year-old Marie Barnett died after a coal stove fire ignited her dress at her home on Cro ton Avenue. She suffered seven hours of pain before passing at 1 30 Christmas morning. Marie, a St. Joseph's fourth grader, is survived by her mother Mrs. Barnett, two sisters and a brother. Funeral services are set for Friday at St. Joseph's Church with burial in the same cemetery.
