Smoke shop puts Santa huffing on hookah display
GREENVILLE AP A northwestern Pennsylvania tobacco shop shows Saint Nick with a hookah in its window drawing mixed reactions from customers. Shop manager Sue Stoyer notes that early Santa depictions often include a pipe and cites Clement Moore’s poem. The holiday parade earlier this month made the window both amusing and scornful, but Stoyer defends the display as rooted in Santa’s smoking history.
