HUD reduced the city Redevelopment Authority’s 1971 administrative budget by about $6,000 from a total of $510,000, covering salaries and consulting fees. The authority also conveyed land along Neshannock Ave to New Castle Central Area Renewal Inc. for $88,700 to build a 120 unit low income housing complex. The board approved property tax actions, garage purchases under $500 each, and four more properties added to the demolition contract in the Central Area project with Mooney Bros. Trucking Co. handling the work.
