Man Survives 150-Foot Turnpike Plunge
Andrew P. Kuvinka, 18, of Monessen Pennsylvania, survived after his car smashed through a guard rail on the Turnpike and tumbled 150 feet down an embankment. He was treated at Bedford Memorial Hospital for a fractured vertebra and multiple lacerations and fractures. The crash occurred about 17 miles west of Bedford Interchange on Wednesday.
