Margaret Martin, missing since Saturday from Kingston Pennsylvania, is feared abducted by a white slave ring. State police question a 23 year old Wilkes Barre resident, not yet charged or linked. LaGuardia Fends Off Attacker On City Hall Steps

Mayor Fiorello H. LaGuardia grappled with a former WPA worker who leaped at him on the steps of city hall. A crowd pulled the attacker away as police intervened. Fire destroys Pennsylvanian Roundhouse in Oil City

A fire caused by defective wiring fully destroyed the Pennsylvania Railroad Company's 50 year old roundhouse in Oil City, with about $80,000 in damage. Six locomotives valued at $1,080,000 were stored there and badly damaged. officials said the engines are not a total loss. Firefighters battled the blaze for three hours starting at 8:30 this morning before control was achieved.
