New Castle Parking Authority Adds Third Meter Attendant
The New Castle Parking Authority approved a 2004 budget with a plan to hire a third meter attendant at $11,840 to staff a booth at the South Mercer Street lot under construction. Officials expect about $25,000 in revenue to cover the cost, but staffing will depend on need and possible future automation. The authority also plans a $1 million tax-free loan refinance with Sky Bank, saving $15,000 to $20,000 per bond, to fund repairs and reduce payments.
