Reconsideration seals bid for Franklin Stadium heating work

After protest from R. T. Withers the school board reopened action on the Franklin Stadium heating contract. Barnes & Clark previously bid Premises for 8750 dollars with two optional additions. The board accepted the original bid and added Moline Units subject to a 200 dollar limit, while Johnson Service Regulators would be bid separately. The solicitor ruled the action legal. Withers argued the Moline Units were an alteration not an addition and proposed a potential saving of 537 dollars. The board proceeded with plans to re bid Johnson Regulators or their equivalents for the project.
