Diocese posts nun’s trophy deer. backlash leads to removal
In Erie Diocese of Pennsylvania, Sister John Paul Bauer’s Facebook photo with a 10 point buck drew vulgar comments from animal rights activists, prompting the diocese to delete the post. Bauer said hunting is a spiritual act and conservation tool, noting the 200 pound buck was later butchered for sausage and steaks and shared with two families.
