Heirs of Curly and Larry Win $2.6 Million Breach Suit
In Los Angeles the heirs of Curly Joe DeRita and Larry Fine won a $2.6 million breach of contract judgment against Moe Howard’s heirs over Three Stooges shows and merchandise. The suit, filed after DeRita’s July 1993 death, claimed Joan Maurer and Jeffrey Scott cheated the DeRita and Fine families out of their share, though Maurer and Scott defended they followed the contract.
