Tragic end to five hour standoff in Union Township
A five hour standoff on McClelland Avenue Union Township ended with the death of David Gardner 34 presumed despondent after police attempted to serve an emergency protection from abuse order. Three relatives were arrested for disorderly conduct as officers secured the scene with a large multi jurisdiction response. The gunfire occurred as troopers tried to contact Gardner with the emergency order reportedly sought by his wife.
