Rotary club members in New Castle announce a room at Jameson Memorial hospital being equipped to help fight an influenza epic. Dr. Williams notes 15 000 cases concentrated in nine states. The initiative honors Mrs Jameson and other crippled children workers in the city.

The state already has 200,000 acres under consideration as part of a large reforestation effort.
Sidney Weiss alias Whitey was shot and killed when he tried to flee a life sentence in a New York courtroom. He fired three shots at Judge Donnelly as attendants attempted to subdue him. Attendant Al Williams was wounded, Captain John Doyle fired, and Weiss was killed when his gun jammed.

Obituary notes the deaths of Miss Maude Kennedy of Coatesville Pennsylvania and infant Nene May Brenner aged none listed, with residence at 1008 North Liberty Street. Richard Mahon Raney, 21, of Westport Connecticut is also listed.

Richard E. James, a 17 year old aviator, lands near Mercer after fog and darkness forced a Tuesday night descent. Repairs completed at noon, he plans a Thursday afternoon takeoff toward New York City to finish his transcontinental flight for a $1000 prize. He faced fuel needs and lacked plane lights, prompting a field landing.
New Castle resident David N. Brown a well known plumber of 715 County Line Street was severely injured last evening while returning from work in Niles Ohio. The driver of the auto is unknown and Brown was struck by a large machine as the vehicle collided on the road. Continued on pages.
