Alexander Irwin Improving After Wounds in France
Friends report Alexander B. Irwin wounded in action in France in October is recovering quickly. In a November 8 letter to his mother Mrs. Chas Irwin he said wounds to his head and jaw are healing after a machine gun bullet entry below the right ear and exit from the left cheek. Irwin has been in France fifteen months since August 1917 and spoke of peace rumors while hoping to return home soon.
